I Can't Deal...

You know, I've been reading a LOT of nasty comments on some of my favorite blogs. Why can't people just let others live? Specifically, there have been a lot of comments to the effect of, "Ummm...we're in a RECESSION!", "You're so superficial!", "Wow, must be nice to have so much" , and on and on. Look people, fashion blogs are about just that- FASHION. It's an art form. It's something we all love and crave. Wanting to have pretty things is not some new idea that was just invented. Get the fuck over it. Ok, I'm done. With that in mind, here are a few things that I am dying (yes DYING) to have. So suck it, haters.

Pamela Love is NO JOKE.

I'm a bit of a peacock, so it's only natural that I would want to show off my feathers.

You can never have too many rings. NEVER. That reminds me, I need to figure out my ring size...

Awesome ring by Made Her Think. As seen on Miss Rumi of Fashion Toast. This ring is $110. There's an $88 version that's a bit smaller and obviously more in my price range but then again, it's only a $32 difference. Heh...only $32. I have truly lost my mind.

Baby's First DIY

So, continuing my love and admiration of all the talented bloggers and DIY-ers out there, I made myself a body chain. Sort of. Well...it's more like I took a long silver chain necklace my grandmother gave me, slipped it over my neck, flipped it back and put my arms through it. Still, you get the general idea right?

Vintage necklace from Grandma, F21 sheer tank, random cami worn underneath, plethora of my fave silver bangles

Sitting Pretty

AA leotard, sexuali-t, denim skirt, F21 jewelry

How amazing is this necklace? Forever 21 has the best jewelry- this was $8!!

Off to be an reader for auditions for an amazing play being produced by the Center Theatre Group. xoxo

Goddess

I have to give credit where credit is due. I was checking out the lovely blog, Childhood Flames as I'm sure many of you do and was blown away by the Complex Geometries t-shirt she had acquired. It's so simple, chic and easy to wear that I had to have one. I ran out to American Rag on LaBrea, snapped it up and have worn it several times. I might even get another. It reminds me of what the Greek Goddesses would have worn.

Worn with my trusty black Levi's.

Vintage lucite bangle, F21 cuff, my favorite ring, and random but awesome earrings.

Have a great day!!

Dressing Up...My Feet

Quick post with bad pictures. After I wrapped today (one more day of shooting then we're done!), I went to Barney's to check on something for my awesome boyfriend. Barney's is in the midst of their big sale so of course I had to play around a bit, knowing full well that even on sale, I can't afford anything there. I was exhausted and didn't feel like trying on a bunch of clothes but I had no problem trying on shoes.

Balenciaga. I really love this color. I got some new shoes in this color that I will share soon. Oh and that strap at the top of my ankle...velcro! Pretty awesome. There's a bit of my shoes- Steve Madden t-strap sandals. One of my favorite pairs of shoes, actually.

Dries Van Noten. Not 100% my style but man, they are beautiful.

No, I'm still not over these Stella's. After that Bebe debacle, of course I had to see if the real ones are as comfortable as everyone claims. They are. So comfortable in fact, I actually considered plunking down $599 (down from $995) for this pair even though they are not the color I wanted. Sigh...I guess I'll keep dreaming.

Me in the elevator at Barney's. I'm still in my "costume" for the film. The actors provided their own wardrobe so I rooted around my closet to figure out what "Rhonda" would wear, down to her hairstyle.

**Random red dress and jewelery, Target sweater, and NYCo purse.

BRB Part II

I'm a horrible blogger, aren't I? Well, I haven't been posting recently because, like the last time I was away, I am involved with an amazing project. It's a short film with an great script and I'm in love with my character. Yesterday during the shoot,I was able to access certain emotions that have been so hard for me to reach when working. Luckily, I was working with amazing director and crew who gave me the time and space to get there. It's been awesome! I'll be back soon with some outfit posts. I got a hell of a bday present that I'm just dying to share. See you soon!

This Is What A Real Pop Star Looks Like

This video is so fucking good. My love for Lady Gaga knows no limits. I'm still bummed I didn't get a chance to see her live when she came to the Wiltern. C'est la vie!

And oh yeah...Happy Birthday to me!!

Tag... I'm It

You know you're doing all right with this blogging jazz when you get someone as cool as Jayne tagging you. Thanks chica!

What is your current obsession?

My hair, my dog, and my new Stolinski heels from Aldo.

What is your weirdest obsession?

I love fur and I've become fascinated with taxidermy. It may seem weird to some but I think it's beautiful! I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for animals and no, I don't think it's a contradiction.

What are you wearing today?

Celia Birtwell for Express top, Levis, and black peep toe Steve Madden wedges.

Why is today special?

Well, tomorrow is MORE special because it's my birfday!! But everyday is special because I'm alive.

What would you like to learn to do?

Give myself more credit for my creativity.

What’s for dinner today?

I have no idea...sushi?

What’s the last thing you bought?

The aforementioned heels from Aldo.

What are you listening to right now?

Nothing! I loaned my BF my headphones today.

What is your favorite weather?

Crisp and cool enough for a cute jacket but warm enough for open toes. In Cali, this makes perfect sense, trust me.

What is on your bedside table?

No bedside table but a bookshelf full of shoes.

What is your most challenging goal right now?

Stay focused and never give up!

What do you think about the person who tagged you?

Dude...we have the same birthday. Need I say more? No seriously, she has a great blog, her style is blazing and her hair makes me wanna get (another) weave.

If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished anywhere in the world, where would you like it to be?

NYC, Los Feliz, or Paris.

Favorite vacation spot?

The Bahamas was dope.

What would you like to have in your hands right now?

A stack of cash like Karen refers to in "Goodfellas".

If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?

Paris for shopping and eating.

Which language do you want to learn?

French

What is your must have at the moment?

The REAL Stella mesh sandals not the horrible Bebe ones I wasted my hard earned money on!

One thing that you would snitch out of someone’s closet, with no regrets?

Anything from Grace Jones.

What’s the favorite piece of clothing in your own closet?

I love my kimonos- I have three. I should do a post about them...

What would you like an endless supply of?

Shoes, shoes, shoes!!!

What are your plans for this summer?

Would love to get out of dodge for a while- napa, nyc, maybe even a foreign country?
